Previous customer unable to register with same email address

Hello all,

I appreciate this issue has been raised numerous times, but without wanting to pickyback on someone elses old post, I'm not able to register to manage my account online using the same email address as an old Virginmedia account that shows as being closed.

I understand there might be an option to merge accounts together to fix the problem - Is anybody from VM able to look into this for me? I've been advised on the phone to setup a new email address just for Virginmedia emails, obviously that's something I don't want to do.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with registering for an online account. It could be that we might be able to merge the accounts but this does depend on some factors. Can you confirm how long ago your previous account was disconnected?
