Outstanding Balance

A few days ago my Direct Debit payment was denied, i dont know why this is but i then paid through QuickPay for my first bill ever. To this day the bill still says it hasnt been paid even though i have already called and they said that the payment went through. But why is it still counting as outstanding?

It keeps asking me to set up a direct debit also and when i try do that, my direct debit is already set up.

Thank you for taking the time to post your query and welcome to the forums.

 

Can you confirm how soon after the Direct Debit failed you made the payment? Also can you confirm how you reinstated the Direct Debit with your bank?

 

Once a Direct Debit fails it is immediately cancelled to prevent further requests for funds, this is to help reduce or prevent charges that may be applied by your bank for the failed Direct Debit.
