Old NTL email address and can not retrieve my password

I have tried to download the Virgin App to control the WiFi in the house due to unruly kids not doing homework and staying up all night!! however when I tried to download the app to sign in I had to use my old NTL world email address that I used to open my account some 20 odd years ago and I can not remember the password.
i have tried to retrieve it on the site and app and get a page to enter my account details, area code and last bill date & amount,
when I enter all this it states the paste bill date issue?? I have check all details and done this multiple times but still no joy,
please can someone help me as there is no numbers to call or live chat so stuck
