No Confirmation Email

I tried to upgrade my account via app on Tuesday 12 Jan - however, I received an email asking me to contact Virgin on 0800 for additional info.  Rang and spoke with a chap who offered me an alternative package which was better, increased broadband speed and better TV package.

He said an email would be sent, however, to date nothing has been received and nothing is in my Junk folder.

How long do confirmation emails take to arrive and when will the upgrade take effect?
