Next bill higher text - don't have an account

Hi - been getting several texts over the last few days informing me that ...

""Your next bill will be higher as there have been additional services charged to your account. For information please go to https://care.virginmedia.com/care/my-virgin-media/comms-token?tmid=5e2e482c028c715cba2d386a29c6294fb..."

Posted this previously in security forum as wasn't sure if a scam or not. Apparently the link is genuine but can't login to see what is going on as its been two years now since I was a customer (moved to a non-service available area) - is there any way to find out if I am actually going to billed or if there is a way to find out why these texts are being sent (and ideally - stop them) ??

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with getting these text messages.
