Hi, I've decided to extend my contract with virgin media for another 18 months because they offered me a slightly higher price - £10 more but double speed (M250 Fibre Broadband instead of M125). I've signed the contract on 02.12.2023 and received an email with confirmation stating that the new service will start on 05.02.2023. Since than nothing has changed. Any advice please?

If you get a private message on here use it to get in touch with them to confirm your contract details.
Prices are going up in April 2024.
My contract had expired and there were no details about it at all on my bill at all. No contract start date hence no contract end date, which was my question to them. I finally got online help, on these message boards, and the person (Sabrina I think it was) helped me out, and informed me of my position, my contract had expired and I had had no contact from Virgin Media to inform me of such, and nothing on my contract told me the start date either, as I joined Virgin Media over 10 years ago, they simply changed me over to Broadband only and that took over 3-4 hours on the phone, getting messed around, being put on hold etc so I finally got what I wanted and they then still tried to get me to change to a new deal for the next two-three months, via emails etc.
You have the same service as what I'm currently getting, and I'm now technically out of contract so I can now cancel without getting any charges placed against me at all and I can leave by simply giving them 30 days notice. So I'd think that your contract date, for 18 months, would be ending in August next year (2024) given that you say it started in Feb '23. They're not exactly great at telling you what you actually need to know, and information would be buried somewhere where it's hard for you to actually find.
Get confirmation from someone at Virgin for this, don't take my word on it, probably best doing it on here via private message. It may well be quicker than going through a call centre, who will probably try to get you to upgrade and keep you on hold etc.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
Good luck 🤞🏼👍🏼
