Moving into home with existing account

Hi there, 

I'm moving into a house that already has a Virgin Media account. Is there a way I can arrange for my account to be set up from the day I move in as I'm working from home?

No. You will have to have a new account and new equipment when you move home. Follow the guidance here:

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/moving-home-faqs

You might need to make alternative short term arrangements for bb connectivity.

Thanks for the quick response, the options I can see on the FAQ are:

  • I’m moving and I haven’t told Virgin Media about my move yet

  • I’ve told Virgin Media about my move and I’m keeping my services

  • I’m moving but I’m not taking my Virgin Media services with me

  • I’m not the account holder but I want to take over a Virgin Media account

I assume the fourth option applies to me, this takes me to a page with a number to call. When a I call that number it needs an account number, which I don't have as I haven't signed up yet. Not sure where to go from here.

The fourth option no longer applies. You can't take over an existing account. You'll have to sign up for a new account,. Search for this on Google. You can do it on line.

Just to be clear , please can I ask if you are currently a customer at your current property and looking to move those services OR you are not a customer but wish to join on the day you move.

I am not a customer at my current property, I'm looking to join on the day I move. The new property already has an active Virgin Media account.
