Leaving on the 31st Oct

Hi

So I am leaving on the 31st of October. So all I need to do is cancel before the 31st . Is this correct ? Now that virgin prices are going up and I don't pay cancellation fees.

Regards

You need to give 30 days notice to cancel your VM services and leave VM.

The letter states that I can cancel anytime as long as it is before 31st. Due to price increases .

They also stated no notice required. I've just double checked .

That's why I'm leaving on the 31st. I'm in an 18 month contract, but now they are putting prices up . I can now leave without giving 30 day notice and no cancellation fee

Yes and the cancellation process begins when you give VM 30 days notice that you want to leave and cancel your services.

So, for example, if you were to give VM your 30 days notice to cancel today, your services would be disconnected on or around 14/11/23.

That would not be the normal process. You are usually given a 30 day window in which you can leave with no EDF. Within that window you need to give VM 30 days notice. See the reply from Robert_P of the forum team below

I tried that 2 weeks ago after I received the letter and they told me that I don't give notice and they asked me if I wanted to be disconnected now. Which I told them no I want to give 30 days notice they told me no you just cancel before 31st

Refer to Section N of the current T&Cs part 6 (earlier versions have something similar)

It may be N6(ii) that is causing the confusion. It would be a risky business to leave it until the last minute to cancel as VM's cancellation processes are not straightforward and any delay in processing may push you out of your window of opportunity.

One of the VM forum team will reply here within a few days and confirm the details for you but make sure you do not run out of your cancellation window time period.

Ok I will go on virgin WhatsApp to inform them again, but they will try and disconnect me there and then . Which I don't want.
