Leaving VM by moving house

Hi

I am still under contract till March 2020 but am moving house on 17th January.

I am moving into temporary accommodation and don't need virginmedia broadband phone and TV.

I do not know when I am moving into my new build house.

So am I liable to pay any penalties for leaving?

Re: Leaving VM by moving house

correct you will have to pay the EDF that is capped at a max of £240 as you are breaking the contract.
The contract is for the services at the installed address for the minimum term.

Re: Leaving VM by moving house

Thanks for your prompt answers.

Is there any option to pause it for a couple of months until I move into my new build house?

Re: Leaving VM by moving house

There is no pause but if the temporary accommodation is served by VM you can move service there at no cost so long as it's the same broadband/TV/phone service.

Re: Leaving VM by moving house

Just checked and found the following.

There is a £20 Movers Fee to transfer your services to your new address.

And there is a £20 fee for each connection point installed.
