Hi, Zester.
Thanks for your post and sorry to hear of the issues with your credit file report due to incorrectly showing a late VM bill payment, we'd be eager to best assist with this.

Could you please advise if you're an active customer currently and if you have received a late payment fee on your previous bills from us at all?
Let us know a bit more on this and we're happy to advise, cheers.

I presume that you have a copy of your statutory credit file and have identified an incorrect entry. Collate details of why you think this is inaccurate and email them to creditfileamendments@virginmedia.co.uk - who should investigate on a 21day basis.

My contract ended at the end of October; I have had no other late payments. The direct debit I have always paid with is still active so you should have taken payment of the final nil of £14.99 via that.

I have also paid the amount by card today as it was due by 10/11 and receipt says you’ll still says you’ll take my DD.

This confirms you should not have made any report to my credit file

Save that as a JPG and attach it to your email, if the forum team manage to expedite anything then all the better.

Unfortunately there have been a few similar cases reported on these boards in recent weeks - a search of the forum will find a few, there's related issues at https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2023/10/direct-debit-billing-errors-strike-uk-customers-of-vir...

Credit management is one part of VM's billing operation that has always operated very efficiently.
