If I take this upgrade offer, am I then on a monthly contract

Can anyone help please? If I go to my upgrades/offers there’s one for the same psckage I’m on, which is £20 per month more, but it says 1 month contract.

Does this mean if I take this my current contract will change to a monthly contract? I love my max broadband but would quite happily ditch the tv, so this could be used as a get out early clause as such?

Re: If I take this upgrade offer, am I then on a monthly contract

Hey miaas2011

That's a new one!

Take a screenshot of the offer including the contract and delete or draw over personal data so no one sees it here, and pop back with that so we can take a look.

VM did offer one month contracts a while back,  then moved away from them but they may be re implementing them. They were at the time however only offering them to new customers, hence this being a new one to me.

A screenshot of the offer page would be a great help in supporting you.

Cheers.

Re: If I take this upgrade offer, am I then on a monthly contract

Hi @miaas2011

Did you get to that page via My Virgin Media?

It looks like its redirected you if you did to the offers you've mentioned as it states 'select and upgrade'

Looking at what's being offered though it doesn't show anything more than a one month contract as you've said.

I'm intrigued now as this has not been an option before in my experience, and I only finished with VM last week! 😊

I'd say sit tight and ask the forum team to check into this and see if you did decide to take this deal ,if after the month, it would allow you to cancel the TV without incurring EDF's (Early Discon Fees)

Let me know what they say if you dont mind popping back as the more we find out about this kind of option the more we can help others with the same questions 👍

Speak soon.

Re: If I take this upgrade offer, am I then on a monthly contract

@Kaz1505  I suspect the 1 should be a 12.

I get the same if I go through the unreliable upgrade & offers system:

I simply don’t believe Virgin Media would give an offer in return for no contract minimum period.

I doubted it too @Ernie_C but when you're out of the business you cant say for definite it's not a viable offer.

Hoping one if the staff can validate it either way.
