I'm wondering if an employee / moderator could please help me with a very simple matter please ?
I am trying to set up a standing order from my bank to yours and will include my VM account number as a reference.
Call me old fashioned but I do not like direct debits, whichever supplier I am currently or ever have dealt with. Never have and would prefer to pay you in this way.
I cannot seem to get any of your employees, to understand what a standing order is when communicating by either the telephone or by using your impersonal messaging service.
Could a moderator please private message me with just the account number and sort code of your Virgin Media Payments bank account.
With many thanks.

It's a shame that SO's are no longer an option. It was back in the day, i.e NTL & early VM days.
However, further to my telecoms with DEE ( 1743hrs 17th October 2023 ) Manager CS / Resolutions team , the most helpful dialogue I've had with anyone since April of this year.
I think I'll tie a knot in my handkerchief and make a manual payment. She was able to inform me of the exact due date of the month we need to play to.
I do however, don't really see why you cannot provide me with your bank details... I could pay directly from my bank account then, but hey ho.

When you make a payment through your online bank, or pay by phone banking you’ll need the following details:
• The Virgin Media Payments Ltd bank account number: 23494314
• The Virgin Media Payments Ltd sort code number: 20-13-42
• Your 14-digit payment reference number
For internet banking, you might have to first select Virgin Media (1) as the company to pay.
If you get paper bills, you’ll find your 14-digit payment reference on the back of the first page of your bill.
If you get your bills online, find your 12-digit payment reference then add your 2-digit area reference to the end to get your 14-digit payment reference. You’ll find both references in your billing notification email.

Payment options and info are here
https://www.virginmedia.com/help/billing-and-payments/make-a-payment
although standing order isn't listed.
How would the SO accommodate a change in the due date for each bill and any add-on charges such as a technician visit or something similar which would come through via the bill?
VM struggles to take/make payments correctly by some of the above methods listed. You might be (pretty much certainly will be) setting yourself up for some future problems trying to make payments via a standing order.

Thanks Carl.... No I had not had time. My original request was please message me your bank details.
A bank transfer set up to repeat indefinitely equals a SO in my book, I can now get on it in the morning.
Think we got there....
