Why doesn't the chat option work at the moment, I really need to cancel my broadband as I'm moving home this week.
The chat button doesn't seem to do anything this morning, and yesterday when it did work I sat there for an hour with no response. How can you be expected to sit in front of a screen indefinitely??

You need to give VM 30 days notice to cancel your services so you've left it a bit late if you move this week.
Phone, chat or post are the cancellation methods shown below

Phoning in at 08:00 when the lines first open seems to be one way you might get through with least delay as reported in topics on here

Use a first-class, signed-for delivery service. This will give you a date/time of delivery when you gave VM your 30 days’ notice to cancel. Also keep a record of the tracking number.
If you cancel during a minimum term period VM may charge you early disconnection fees.
You will also need to organise return of any VM equipment which may become more complicated when you have left the address.
