How do I corrcet incorrect details on my contract

The sales person who signed me up was so slipshod my surname and email were incorrectlly when I got my contract , I can only assume this is why I have never been able to register for online management of the account , the form just keeps re-loading it's driving me crazy as is being unable to get through to customer service unless I make out I want to puchase new services at which point as soon as I say I am calling for help I am transferred / cut off . Any suggestions apart from cancelling my contract and returning to BT
