Good Offers at the MO with Virgin

I noticed Virgin are offering some decent offers for Sky Sports and Sky Cinema. Whilst I do not want Cinema, the sports package is being offered at £18.50 a month on a 30 day rolling contract which as far I can make out means you can cancel after 30 days rather than being tied to an 18 month contract. However, on my Virgin website there is a massive discrepancy regarding my monthly bill which is currently £56 a month, yet the bill shows £71 a month which is wrong. If I take on Sky Sports HD the bill would rise to £89 a month rather than £74.50 a month which would be the correct one. Virgin have really messed up the billing system so far. Unless the bill is corrected, I cannot be tempted to take on Sky Sports. Anyone else had this problem?

Hi there @MrGiles22

Thank you so much for your post and welcome back to the forums, it's great to have you here.

I am so sorry that you have faced this issue regarding your bill! Can I ask if you have been able to view the bill breakdown at all?

Is the package price showing as incorrect or are there any additional charges that may have changed the overall bill price?

Hello

thank you for your reply

My contract states a monthly fee of £56 a month, yet when I receive the bill it says £71. I know there was a discrepancy on the previous bill due to billing error by Virgin which read £41 when it should have read £56.

There are no additional charges pending but the site does show two different bills. I am puzzled by this.

If you wish to check contract and bill separately my account number is [MOD EDIT: Personal details] area code 30

I hope that helps.

Hi @MrGiles22

Thanks for coming back to us.

From what you've said it's a rolling credit that gets your bill to the £56. This will have no issue with you applying for the Sky Sports upgrade don't worry 🙂 Go off the rolling credit full price, then add the upgrade cost and you've got the deal price.

Best wishes.

Thank you for letting me know, I have upgraded to Sky Sports, yet the monthly bill is still different to the contract. I wish Virgin would sort this out once and for all. Thanks for the info in the meantime.

Thanks for the response there MrGiles22,

Usually the contract would differ from the monthly rate if a recurring credit has been applied as that is simply applied every month there is a bill.

To clarify what is the monthly rate now?

Regards,

Kain

Currently, my contract is £56.00 monthly, add Sky Sports (which hasn't been added to my channel list yet) £18.50.

That adds to £74.50 a month. Yet when I applied, the bill shown was £71.00, add Sky Sports £18.50 which adds to £89.50. Very confusing isn't it? So which is the correct bill?  Can you find out please? Many thanks

I ordered Sky Sports a week ago, still not showing on my channel list. Shouldn't take this long to get it going, I wonder what Virgin are doing these days?  No wonder many customers constantly complain about their services.

Hi @MrGiles22 thanks for your post here although we're sorry to hear this is still ongoing for you.

Please allow me to send you a PM so I can look into this further for you, kindly expect this to arrive shortly and respond directly when you can!
Many thanks
