We took out a Virgin Vivid 100 package for the sole reason of the advertised £150 Currys/PC World £150 gift card. We did quick start set up 09/11/2018 and waited until after Christmas to request the gift card.
After being passed from pillar to post where Virgin say it is nothing to do with them and two email complaints that Virgin have not responded to we just can't seem to get anywhere. Virgin gave us a contact number. When we contacted this number they had no details for us. I've been ringing on a weekly basis since January 2019 being passed from Virgin to Car phone Warehouse and simplify digital. Where do we go from here?
I've contacted Trading Standards who have said the contract is with Virgin and we were misled with the advert.
Has anyone else had their complaint resolved? We would not have taken out the contract if we were not getting the gift card.
Apologies for the trouble. Where did you placed the order for the service? If it is placed with a 3rd party retailer, it is that retailer that is often responsible for providing any welcome gift such as vouchers.
Is the voucher is listed on the Virgin Media contract? You can view this on your online account. This will be separate to any email confirmation received when the order was placed. You can click here to log in on your online account.
The voucher is not listed on the contract but we have an email with the online order reference number which states:
£150 Currys PC World Gift Card
£20 set-up fee applies
12 month contract
This is the sole reason why we chose this package as in Carephone Warehouse they were doing the same bundle but with £100 Currys PC World Gift Card so this is the reason why we opted to place the order online.
