Final payment in Collections

Gave VM 30 days notice to terminate on 7 March. Termination date 6 April. VM sent packaging for equipment which was duly returned. Bill for period 11 Mar - 10 Apr duly paid and I thought that would be end of matter.

Bill for further month for £92 arrives. I assume error and will be fixed.

Next thing I know letter from VMs debt collectors, BPO collections, demanding payment quickly followed by reduction in my credit rating.

Been trying to sort with VM but no one will speak to me as I can't remember special word. Have also been told email address VM use for billing is not email address on my account. Snail mail letter been promised 😭 but nothing arrived.

Anyone got any advice on how to sort this short of paying up just to get my credit score back in order. Any advice appreciated.

When you sent the equipment back did you keep the receipt? 

When you left Virgin Media, did you have a early disconnection fee at all?

Thanks for quick reply. I have an email thanking me for, and listing, returned equipment. Can't see how to attach it here though 😕.

No question of early disconnection feed as I was given the option to leave after VMs price hike earlier this year
