Final bill

I have cancelled my Virgin Broadband contract and have had a confirmation email and the notice period has now expired. However I have received an email to say that my usual monthly cost will be deducted from my bank on 25th August. How do I ensure that this direct debit is not taken and get my final bill from Virgin? Thanks

tricky, but if you cancel your direct debit when you receive the next bill you'll probably be charged £7.50 for a missed payment !

you need to get in touch to have this refunded, credited.

other way is to pay by card using online pay as normal but as the bills are for next months service, your overpaying initially for it to be then refunded .

hate the way VM do this as it confuses thing insurmountably

Thanks for quick reply. Yes realize I am going to have to call them, but was just hoping that I could swerve that as it was so painful waiting for them to answer when I called to give them notice of cancellation. I almost lost the will to live! I can't find a Live Chat option on Virgin Media's site - am I missing it?
