Damaged cable connection to the house

Today a gardener has cut through our cable connection to the house in our front garden. 

We know have no connection.

I have tried calling Virgin but cannot get through to someone and I cannot login to my account. There seems to be a system error. With home working this is a key issue I need to fix. 

Anyone know how to fix this?
