Contracts

So after many years of having the Big Khuna bundle with an additional set top box, (V+HD) there came a time when the additional box was no longer required, this was an add on and I was paying an additional £10 a month for this, I called Virgin media told them I no longer wanted it.

I have now noticed I suddenly have a new contract? I haven't been in contract for a few years! it is my understanding the basis of my contract Big Khuna Bundle hasn't changed! just the removal of an additional service, so how have I entered a new contract?

secondly I have not signed anything in writing, or digitally to agree to be entered into a new contract.

can anyone shed some light on this being right or wrong?

normally when a package is added/removed triggers a 12 month contract, got 14 days to reverse it back.
