Considering leaving virgin media

Has anyone else noticed that virgin deals are getting worse? Been with virgin for a long time and after speaking to them they said to sign up for a further 18 months on the exact same package would cost an extra £4 a month where if I don’t do anything it’ll stay the same price even though my contract is up?

Re: Considering leaving virgin media

What's £4 as a percentage of your existing price? What services/bundle do you have?

Re: Considering leaving virgin media

I have the bigger bundle and at the moment it’s £80.50 ( but it’s going up to £84.50 with the price increase in March ) but if I sign up for another 18 months with the same package they said it’s going to be £88 a month.

Re: Considering leaving virgin media

According to the bundle checker...

M200 broadband, Maxit TV & Talk Weekends is £88/month as standard.

So I can't see any benefit in re-signing for 18months without a reduction of some kind.

Re: Considering leaving virgin media

That’s what I mean. It’s bizarre that to sign up for an extra 18 months, you’re paying more.

ideally don’t want to switch to another provider

Re: Considering leaving virgin media

Then don't switch.

Your contract doesn't end, just your minimum term. If you're happy with your pricing and package, carry on 🙂
