Confirmation email not working

Hello, I have just registered a new account, but I can't access because the confirmation link in the email doesn't work. The error is:

Sorry, but we're having a few technical problems, and we can't confirm your username at the moment. We're working on it, so please try again later.

How can I resend a new confirmation email?

I'm really sorry to hear of the issues that you're having with the confirmation email, I have been unable to locate your account to try and resend this.

 

I will send over a private message in a moment, please look out for this, we can then pass account security and look into this further.

I have been able to access your account and resend the email to the address that you tried to earlier, please can you let me know if you have received the mail and if it works or not?

Just got it, but stil the same error unfortunately:

Thanks for confirming this @flwgreen, I will need to log this with our IT team to enable you to access your account.

 

Please could you send me a private confirming the email address that you intend to use as the login for your account, just so we can confirm that isn't the issue with the account registration.

Thanks for coming back to us @flwgreen

 

I have now cleared both of the messages that asks you to confirm your email address, it was still in progress on your account and hadn't updated from my changes earlier.

 

You should be able to login now without any messages popping up.

It works, thank you very much for your help today!

In case anyone has the same issue in the future: I was using an email containing a + symbol, because I wanted to setup a filter in gmail and organize better my emails, but apparently it's not supported. Might save someone else's time.

You're very welcome @flwgreen, glad we could get it sorted. Also please make sure that you change your password right away.

 

I setup a filter within my gmail account to send the emails into their own folder, as you can't filter with the email address, this might help you out a bit, if you haven't already tried that.
