Cheque refund not received....3 times

After cancelling my contract in May 2023 within the cooling off period, i was still billed. I was advised that i would receive a cheque refund of £40.55, I received £3.55. I have discussed this 3 times via whatsapp and been promised a cheque in the post. Nothing received.

Does anyone have a way of furthering this complaint as the customer service is completely non existent?

Thanks in advance

Formal complaint to VM first of all (most likely an unproductive exercise)

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/complaints

is a required first step before escalating to arbitration

https://www.commsombudsman.org/

If you are no longer a VM customer post your VM complaint to VM with the relevant info etc. to identify you/your account. Use a first class signed-for delivery service for proof of delivery.

8 weeks after you first complained, or earlier with a deadlock letter if VM fails to resolve, you can go to arbitration.

One of the VM forum team may offer to help when they reply here within a few days.

You can share your unhappy cancellation (and non-refund) experience with OFCOM.

They launched an investigation into VM on 13 July 2023 specifically into VM's cancellation and complaints processes.

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/about-ofcom/bulletins/enforcement-bulletin/open-cases/cw_01275

Case ref. no. and an email at the bottom of the above page or submit with same info via the contact form

https://ofcomforms.secure.force.com/formentry/SitesFormCCTMonitoring

Submitting information won't help your individual complaint but it will contribute to the OFCOM investigation and it sounds like your experience is directly relevant to the terms of reference of the investigation.
