Charged a £35 activation fee

I joined virgin this week and can see on my first bill that a £35 activation fee has been charged. I joined virgin through the call centre and not once was this fee mentioned. I was told that there would be no installation fee.

It seems a little unfair that this fee is not mentioned anywhere or discussed by your sales agent.  I also haven’t had a welcome email with the details of my package.

Installation & Activation fees are not the same thing. Even self-install packages carry an activation (set up) fee.
