So, i am moving house somewhere which does not have virgin media. I am currently paying my bills and have been for 2 years under someone elses account. I do not have any way to contact the original owner and I am being denied the ability to cancel my contract which expires this month. My only option seems to be bring this evidence to the bank and block virgin from taking money from me? 4 hours total time also spent with the online chat to tell me my password isn't correct despite me signing in to have the chat. Thanks for any help ☺️

Hey Henry_shannon, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community I am so sorry to hear this.
Its the person who is named on the account responsibility to pay the bill and manage the account.
How come you have been paying this, did you live with them at one time?
Only the account holder can cancel the account, you may be worth speaking to the movers team and advising what has gone on 0345 454 1111. Cheers

Just stop paying - that's it - the account is nothing to do with you and there is no obligation regarding return of their kit. It has obviously been convenient for you to keep paying the bill and Virgin don't care where their money comes from. When no payment arrives they will be forced to attempt to chase the account holder then close down the service. There is absolutely no comeback on you. Just forget it and enjoy your new home.

Why on earth should the OP contact the "Movers Team" - presumably he doesn't work for Virgin - the address he is moving to cannot be serviced by VM - luckily for him - all be has to do is decide on his new provider and get a new customer deal.
