Can’t register for new account

Hi, 

I’m sure this question has been asked a million times so I’m sorry to repeat.

I am a new customer, I’ve had my welcome email with my account number and area code which is what I need to register for my account but it keeps telling me my details are incorrect. 
I know they aren’t? 

So far, my experience with Virgin hasn’t been smooth but I can’t argue with the broadband speeds!

Hello Apmara

 

Really sorry to hear of the problems experienced setting up your online account, we appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums and welcome to the community.

 

From what you have advised this sounds like a new account, it can take a few days after installation and activation for all of the information to update and allow registration for the online account. When you try to register at present, what error message does it give you?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. 
It’s a brand new account, the message I get is...

The details you have entered are incorrect, please check and try again.

Maybe it’s because the account is so new? 
I got everything fitted yesterday but got my account details a while ago.

We've had a response back from our IT team.

 

Please can you try registering for My Virgin Media now and let me know how you get on? 

 

Hopefully it should work for you now as they have updated your account 🙂
