Moved house in March, had VM in my old address, got it set up in my new home and now can't register for an account with my new details
keeps telling me my account details are incorrect despite me using the ones in my email from them
also on demand won't work and a VM employee working in the street told me my account probably hadn't been transferred over proprerly

Just to confirm, when you moved, did you ask for a transfer or did you ask to cancel and set up a new Virgin media account at your new address?
Just to also confirm, have you tried logging in with your account number when you try to log in? Does it still say account not recognised?
