Broadband cancellation

Hi,

I managed to speak to someone about cancelling my broadband contract and was informed that I would receive an email confirming my decision to leave. However, 9 hours have passed and I still have not received this email. 

I wanted to be sure that I have cancelled my contract and will not be charged for the next month and an email confirmation would help. I can’t check online either. Is there anything that can be done about this?
