My Virgin Media broadband contract is due to expire on 03 October.
Can you tell me when I'll receive my renewal notice?
A price that is not ideal will cause me to leave. To leave, I need a 30-day notice period? Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything about the renewal price!

Hi there @Mrdingleung
Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you here.
I am so sorry that your package is coming to an end, we do require a 30 day notice if you are wishing to end your contact.
If you wish to discuss a new package to renew with then you would need to reach out to our sales team on 150/0345 600 0789 who will be more than happy to look into this and see what we can offer.

AFAIK your monthly fee will simply switch to the 'standard' price for your particular package once your minimum term discount period expires.
If you want a renewal price for another minimum term you have to ring up and ... renew!

I've already inquired about the renewal quote, unfortunately, they only offered me a monthly rate of £49. I'm going from £24 directly to £49 now, which is crazy. The only option they gave me is to cancel.

You should follow their advice and give your 30 days notice to cancel.
When you do that, VM's outbound retentions might call you with an improved offer. No guarantee that will happen though and it is suggested you have marketing options on in My Virgin Media to allow the call to happen.
Do some research and find out what your alternatives are inc. pricing elsewhere. If VM does phone back their offers tend to be 'of the moment' so you need to know if the offer is any good or not compared to the alternatives.
Read the advice from Andrew-G below on the business of renewing
If you do have to cancel, you will have the option to return to VM in the future and may get new customer pricing once again.
