I recently moved home and closed my Virgin Media account on the 27th of July. I was told on the phone that the direct debit would automatically be closed and that my final bill would be 35 something.
I was billed £46 July 2nd(before I'd cancelled the contract, full cost for the month) and £35.67 August 19th, despite the fact that the service was interrupted July 27th and by this point I'd returned the equipment.
Also the £35.67 bill even shows as unpaid on the My Virgin Media account page.
I have now manually closed the Direct Debit. What I expect to happen is to get a refund of £46. Am I misunderstanding the situation?
