Changed my package over last month. Got a notification of the new amount but I have had the previous package amount taken from the direct debit. Tried the usual Virgin contacts but cant get through/answer.

It's likely that your bill was generated prior, or just after changing your package, and so when your next bill arrives, the amount charged will be adjusted to any amount you may have over or under paid for the month ahead.
Have you been able to check your online Virgin Media account to see if the correct package is now showing?
The £131.81 has been taken out as the payment I would have paid if I had not been given a lower package. I received an email explaining my next payment and it does not include £131.81. I have never paid £131.81. So both my new charge and an extra £131.81 has been taken out both in December. £131.81 11/12 and £78.19 18/12 this is a credit bill and it goes back to £105.00 in January.
