Amazon prime redeem code already redeemed

New to the community, so please excuse me if i am duplicating this issue.  I received a 16 digit redeem code, but when entering it, it states that it has already been redeemed. 

Have tried phoning Virgin, but gave up after hanging on the phone for 40mins.  

Any help/advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Right - can you expand on what has happened please. 

 

So you got an email in November with a code that hasn't worked and it's still the case 2 months later? Just double checking i've got it right or if you could expand 🙂

I got my code in November and tried to redeem it. I wasn't sure if it was accepted so I asked Amazon if it had been accepted and they said yes. It turns out that I had mistakenly opted to pay for one year of prime which I have now received a refund for but I still can't redeem the code.

Sorry Joshuawillow90 - I am really confused here, I apologise. 

 

So Amazon said the code was accepted but it wasn't the code we sent? Can you just clarify that please?
