Amazon Gift Card

Hi

After waiting weeks now for my Amazon gift card, upon coming on here I can now see that this is a ongoing issue which is making regret taking up the offer to join virgin media.

Is like virgin media as a company and representatives make a guarantee that upon signing and showing commitment to staying with virgin then the customer would receive a gift card!???

If as a customer we get issued a bill and we fail to pay which is our promise to u upon signing up to pay all Bill's on time, if we fail to pay and communicate we all well know what the response would be.

I'm now seeing this as false misrepresentation which a buisness or company can be taken to court over.

I have a email which I have kept and all the evidence involving my gift card and until I receive it I wont be paying any bill!!??? Upon that I will then contact legal representation as institutional discrimination is not acceptable meaning it should not be one way for a certain set of people and another for other people obviously different rules scenarios but it comes down to the same values and principles, doing the right or wrong thing, and abusing that power and trust.

Virgin media I was told I would receive my gift card from the 9th April within 14 days of it being delivered by post...????? I still have not received it.

Re: Amazon Gift Card

The gift cards are provided by a third-party company, not VM directly.

Check this companies T's and C's on gift cards - and the fact they can be withdrawn at any time without notice.

Re: Amazon Gift Card

Hi Juniorlubz76,

Welcome to the Community Forums, thank you for your first post.

I'm sorry to hear that you have not received your Amazon Gift Card which was promised to you. I can appreciate how frustrating this must have been for you.

Can you please confirm if the vouchers were offered directly from us or from a comparison website so we can advise further?

Thanks,

Beth

Re: Amazon Gift Card

So why are you responding to my query maybe you should apply for a job with virgin because it seems like you are doing there Job free of charge!!!

At not any point when I read the terms and conditions did it say it can be withdrawn at any time it stated that if you were to cancel your virgin subscription before the substantial time period then you would not be eligible.

Re: Amazon Gift Card

The voucher was offered by yourself I have two emails now stating this fact before I even got to this point I had a email about a week after signing up saying I would receive my card.

If its that much of a issue then I will just do what I need to do to be compensated, which ever way others think that is totally upto them different strokes for different folk I'm no sheep I lead my own thoughts and decisions in the end.

I received another email yesterday evening stating again that I would receive it in a further 10 days the email coming from virgin but it stated that edenred would be dispatching it!!

If i fail to recieve it in 10 days then I will say more on the matter and deal with it the way I feel satisfied.

Weather like some dude is happy to accept that if can be taken away or take 3 months to come ect I'm not willing to accept that as I only took notice of the package i have through the fact It stated upon signing up I would receive a gift card I wont jus continue to sit back and be like that's okay that ive been conned.

Re: Amazon Gift Card

Hi, thanks for coming back to us.

Please see the update below;

You'll receive the email 28 days after install with an activation code, then the vouchers are sent by post 10 days after this. Those timescales from checking the account have not yet been met and Virgin Media do not send out the PIN nor the install so you've been advised correctly by @gary_dexter (thank you for your input as well)

Kind regards,

Re: Amazon Gift Card

You’ve not been conned lol

Its not a contractual offer so you have no grounds for any complaint or compensation.
