My 76 year old father wishes to downgrade or maybe cancel his TV package as he's payingover £60 p/m for what's effectively Freeview. He has no internet (would have no idea where to start).
Problem is, due to his deafness, whenever he calls Virgin it's very stressful and he can't hear, so he is happy for me to talk to them. Right now (COVID), I can't go in his house to call, get him to verify who he is (which, for the reasons above is stressful) and he really wants me to call and talk about the package.
So, what can we do to allow him to authorise me to speak on his behalf?
Nothing on the website, have tried e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org to see if they can help (even though it's not quite their area) but no response.
