Activation fee charged when it says free

Hello, 

I received a £50 referral and thought it would go towards the first 2 months but I have been charged an activation fee of £35 when my package clearly specifies no activation fee needed. Please can you sort this out. And also I was wondering if payment details can be in a different name to the accountholder name?

Can you check your online account to see if it says no activation fee? Can you check whether there is anything else on there that just in case? Regarding the payment details, the details can be under a different name for cable accounts only.

Hi, 

yes it said no activation fee , but they have taken it from the £50 referral 😞 . We wanted the 30 day rolling contract as we are students but virgin media put the wrong email so we weren't aware of the plans nor have we had confirmation. Please either change to rolling contract as we are students living here for 8 months. I called multiple times but they said i only have to pay a ONE-off early fee but online it is saying per month.
