  • If I called up 6 weeks prior to contract renewal date to cancel all services and was paying 55 gbp a month, why are virgin media sending a debt of 79.01 gbp to debt collectors? First debt  collection company virgin used admit they listened to call I made requesting cancellation, heard nothing for a year, now new debt collectors have been recruited and  claim they contacted virgin media and there is no such evidence I called. New debt collectors advised me to call virgin media and provided contact number, I called said number...  was informed they can't access closed or cancelled accounts. ??? Please help, why are virgin media using debt collectors who don't have contacts for closed and cancelled accounts? And why, if I was paying 55 a month they are saying I owe 79?

I am sorry to hear that there is a billing issue, this would be the pro rate from when the last payment was paid until the date of cancellation. 

It sounds like the final bill was not paid.
