30 days notice from virgin

I renewed my broadband on 21st November 18 month deal no problems happy with deal signed contract. Got all paper work for new contract, got my new bill for 1st month no problems all good so I thought. I received a phone call from virgin telling me that my contract isn’t enough money for them (even though they offered me the deal) and if I didn’t accept another new contract at a higher rate then they would give me 30 days notice to cancel my account. I have been a customer for 15+ years and have a contract but for virgin a contract is only one way. I have now asked for a deadlock letter and also a copy of all phone calls so I can take further action.

also today retentions phoned me to ask why I had given 30 days notice and if anything they could do and that was funny. I explained to her and she said I’m quite puzzled you have a new contract how can the company she works for just cancel it because they don’t like the deal.

a contract offered and accepted and a month into contract of 18 months I’ve I wanted to cancel I would have to pay whole amount as a cancellation fee…
