30 days motice

Hi, I am totally confused about the 30 day leaving process. I gave my 30 day notice and paid my last bill on the 5 of December for £37.50 and apparently I now owe another £37.50. I was not in a contract as that had already ended. Is there a disconnection fee when you are out of contract?

I am really not happy with the way I seemed to be being treated for the many years of loyalty I have shown virgin media. Please can some one from virgin media look into this for me?

According to a post on this thread:-

you're supposed to cancel the DD yourself, and they'll refund any overpayment via cheque when the final bill comes !  Seems an incredibly backward process, guess it ensures they have as much of your money for as long as possible !
