150 number constantly engaged. Want to cancel after another price hike

I received notice of yet another price hike together with the ending of a reduction I had negotiated last year meaning I would get an increase of 32% in my bills. This is just not on. There is no bonus for loyalty. The 150 number doesn't even ring (just goes to engaged), it must be swamped by people like me who are sick and tired of Virgin's attitude. SO I can't get through to cancel but my bill will go up if I don't. What do I do next? The web site just sends me round in circles. May just contact BT and let them handle the changeover.

Good Afternoon Workerant,

Thanks for your post on our Community Forums and I'm sorry to see you've been struggling to get through to us.

I can see that you have been able to speak to our team since your post. Can you tell me if this has now been resolved or if you need any assistance from our team?

Kindest regards,

Re: 150 number constantly engaged. Want to cancel after another price hike

I managed to resolve it by using the text messaging system kindly provided by another customer. Now my neighbour can't get through on 150 as he is unable to access Broadband. Is this number no longer being staffed?

Re: 150 number constantly engaged. Want to cancel after another price hike

Thanks for coming back to us.

We do still have call agents working on the 150 helpline

We are aware of high volumes of calls coming into our agents and as a business we're doing everything we can to have these responded to

If your neighbour is able to create a Community Forum profile, and create a post, our Forum team would be happy to assist where possible

Kindest regards,

Thanks. I'll ask him to try it.
