You cannot port a landline number (starting 01 or 02) to a mobile phone operator. They are two completely different (& incompatible) telephone systems. Three only do fixed line Broadband, there are no fixed line phone services in their deals. The only thing you can do is port the number to a VoIP operator (e.g Sipgate), that you can then use through your Three Broadband connection. The Virgin number needs to be active in order to port the number, so do not cancel the landline account if you decide to move it to VoIP. The number port automatically closes the landline account.

Hi Halina38,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.
Firstly I'd like to extend our condolences at this time, just for further clarification as a number port would usually be requested via landline, are they relating this to a mobile number? As usually a request is made by the new provider to port over the number.
Regards,
