porting phone number

Could someone please help with porting my old phone number to Virgin? I have been trying to do this since Friday and called Virgin numerous times and just get sent to different departments and none of them have been able to do it. I have been trying since 9am this morning. 2.5 hours later and I have had to call back twice - now still waiting to speak to someone. Apparently these is some 'fault' on my line and it can't be ported right now and needs the technical team to look at it. BT say there is no reason why it can't be done as far as they are concerned. 

They also say my services haven't been activated ... but everything is working fine (apart from slow internet).

Did you request the number port when signing up with us? Is your account still active with your old provider?

Hi,

Yes I did ask for it it be ported when I first signed up but apparently this was not done. I have discussed this at least twice since and asked for it to be ported but this hasn't happened.

Yes the phone line is working.

Thank you for coming back to me, 

 

Just for confirmation, is your landline still active with your old provider? When is this due to end? 

 

I can defiantly try and get this issues resolved once you have confirmed the above.

Hi,

Yes, the landline is still active with my old provider. 

We don't have an end date as I understand that Virgin will stop it when the number is ported by them.
