My mum who is 85 has had two visits from engineers regarding this issue first said could not find anything wrong maybe its your phone(brand new)and my home phone also does the same,second engineer replaced socket but issue still remains dont think this is acceptable in these trying times,especially when people need to get hold of my Mum to make sure she is ok

Thanks for the details via Private Message @esox1112 and I can confirm that an engineer has been booked to look at your mum's telephone line. The booking details will be on your mum's online account and if the date and time is inconvenient, it can be re-arranged on there also.
