Re: landline number not transferred. had been refused

Hello

For a number to port both lines have to be active, if there is a account closure pending on your Virginmedia line then it will be refused, this is in line with the Ofcom rules.

Re: landline number not transferred. had been refused

Did you still have a contact with virgin when the port was attempted? Generally you still have to have an active phone number with the old supplier for this to work

HI sdevgun,

Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 🙂

I'm sorry there's been an issue with you taking your number over to your new provider.

We do need your landline number to stay active with ourselves in order to port it, as advised by the community if a disconnection has already been placed your new provider wouldn't be able to have requested it.

Re: landline number not transferred. had been refused

Hi sdevgun,

Once a number has disconnected, it's not possible to port the number, however it does dpend on who owns the number. If the operator you're going to (for example BT) owns the disconnected number, then you can simply make that number active on their own network.

When you joined us did you port the number in from another provider or was it one we gave you?
