landline fault

Hello,  I am posting on behalf of my elderly mother.

Her landline is not working. We have tried changing the phone but the problem persists.

Can you send an engineer quickly as this phone is her lifeline...literally.

P.S. I have tried contacting virgin by phone but each time I get cut off after about 20 minutes waiting.
