landline fault

My landline is not working. I have had the same problem many times in the last few years and the problem always occured at a particular exchange point. I have booked an engineer to come and repair it but I don't want them to come into my house. Could this be done?

Re: landline fault

Hi FLLI

Sorry to hear about the repeated fault

When we have an engineer booked for faults like this, The tend to go to the cabinet first to see if this can be fixed remotely

If not then they will need home access to see if the issue is internal

Are you worried about access to your property because of Covid 19

If so, our engineers will be well protected

Can you please let us know how the visit goes

Re: landline fault

Thank you. The engineers have been. They did not have to come into my house, but they gave me a gadget to plug into my phone socket. The problem was solved.
