In the same way as you do now when there is a fault with a service/services.
Traditional landlines are being phased out under government legislation. The copper lines & PSTN infrastructure are well past their sell-by date so all telephone exchanges will be decommissioned in 2025 & everything will be VoIP based.

Hi Carolyn48,
Thanks for taking the time to post about your concerns with the home phone switchover.
We recognise that some people will have some concerns but as mentioned above by nodrogd, this is something that is happening with all providers and not just Virgin Media.
In the unlikely event there’s a power cut or a broadband fault, you won’t be able to make or receive calls. You'll still be able to contact us using our current methods although you wouldn't be able to use landline. For those without a mobile phone or who may be vulnerable we do provide a back up system.
