home phone connection

my partner has been trying to get her home phone reconnected since the 24th of june but all she keeps getting is promises that it will be switched on within 24 hrs  48 hrs  72 hrs she has spoken to at least 6 people regarding this and is now considering cancelling everything, this is the worst customer service experience she has ever known.
