fibrephone switchover

I have received the adaptor, and have had it a while now.

It says I will be receiving a letter to tell me when my switchover will be, and as yet, I havent received anything.  My landline doesnt work any more.

Any way of finding out when I will a) get the letter, or b), I can just plug the adaptor into the superhub and see if the landline works?

Someone I know, in the same town as me, has the adaptor, and has received a letter.  So strange.

Hi @hammer_fan

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community. You'd normally receive the adapter when the migration is going to happen. From the system check, it shows you are on the new DOCSIS line, (phone through the router). Please try it for me and report back 🙂

Hi John_GS,

Not sure how you knew where I was, account etc, but I unplugged my phone, put in the adaptor, plugged in the phone, and all of a sudden I have a dial tone
I could make a call, but it isnt receiving a call. 😞

Thanks for coming back to me. When you call the number, what happens please?

Kind regards,

The landline doesnt do anything. I am ringing it from my mobile.

If I do the reverse and ring the mobile from the landline, it works.

Very strange.

Now as weird as it may sound, do I need to reboot the router in order for it to fully work - as I havent done that.

Does it ring on the mobile side or any error messages?

Best wishes,

The mobile rings, but landline doesnt.

But when I do the reverse, the landline rings, and so does the mobile.

Thanks for confirming. I've had a very experienced colleague check this (they used to work in telephony), he's raised it to the team for you so it'll be sorted within the next 48-72 hours.

Keep us posted if nothing by then, we'll help further.
