cheapest phone service

I rarely use the landline, if at all..  is there an option 'eg 'incoming calls only' where the line rental can be reduced as well??

Re: cheapest phone service

You are better dropping any landline based service and looking at something like VOIP.
if you send some money on a VOIP phone you can get a free landline number from www.sipdate.co.uk if all you use in incoming you pay nothing.

If you want to call out top it up with £10 or so and pay as you go.

I have a VOIP phone with 5 incoming numbers. I use them for online things. I know if i should answeer a call based on what number the call is on.

Re: cheapest phone service

If you make quite a few calls another option is Vonage.

https://www.vonageforhome.co.uk/home/call-plans/

They give you an adaptor that allows you to continue using your existing landline phone. You can also install their app on smartphones & tablets & use your calling plan (and receive calls) from anywhere via WiFi.

Virgin BB TV Landline. Freeview/Freesat HD, Virgin Mobile, Tesco Mobile. Cable customer since 1993

Re: cheapest phone service

PLEASE notice, I do not want a phone....

their initial offer was only £67 in total, with £25 activation, **nothing** extra, no phone line, etc... and they had forgotten that offer existed on their website!!!

when I called them they said the only way I can get TV360 is with a landline... SO I am looking for a way to get **VM** to reduce any cost of this..

due to the hopeless nature of their dependence on yodel, I need to pay for an engineer , so he can read a map and find me, lets hope he does so next week...
