For reasons I do not want to go into my number and details must be ex-directory, I was told it was but then when I had to call Virgin about something else they said it wasn't, couldn't change that straight away as I had logged a different job and the two could not run together. She told me that she had put a note in her diary to call me back on Friday 13th May, I pleaded with her to cancel the job and just block my details - she said she couldn't cancel the logged job but 'trust me, I have it in my diary to call you at 9am and we will sort it out' - she didn't call me back.
Sometimes there are real valid reasons a person wants to be ex-directory and whilst some people want to just avoid cold callers some of us unfortunately have more sinister intent against us and therefore need to be ex-directory and not 'I will sort it for you' and then fail. I have had to notify the the authorities that Virgin have my name and number in a directory now for anyone to access to alert them just in case I need them quickly.
She also said she had applied the withhold service on my phone to stop me having to dial 141 each time, which I just checked and she hasn't. In sum total Virgin Media you are putting my life and those I live with at high risk!
Can someone please make contact and help a very scared person out. And for future when someone asks I need this service for my own safety please take it more seriously than you have my request. Scared, frustrated and annoyed.
